So I spent the day cleaning and polishing my new/used T-bird. To my surprise I found 3 extras that I didn't know were extras.

Side Cover.

Lockable Gas Cap

Mirrors.

So besides my mustang seat I want to get there is one other upgrade I want to do soon. I'm looking for new grips. Any suggestions?

Check out Avon Grips, MT Air Cushioned; perfect fit, no gaps to fill.

On the Avon grips which ones do I look for that fit? Or do the make specific for T-Bird? Do you have any Pictures?

I also have the Kuryakin Isos. I like them enough to remove them from my America before I sold it and put them on the Bird.

The ride may be fun, but in the Great Scheme of things, it really is about the destination! John 3:16

Likewise, I removed the Kuryakyn ISO grips from my Speedmaster and fitted them to my Thunderbird back in 2010.

OR [and this is only a suggestion],you could purchase a pair of the finger less gloves, which is what I did [a good pair has padding in the palms and are not expensive],and you'll achieve basically the same thing, but for a lot less money and the aggravation which goes a long with changing grips,PLUS,one pair fits all machines. That way,you buy em once and have for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to come. I've had the same pair now for quite a few years [I think,16 years] and they're STILL in good condition! However, due to sun, other elements, mileage, and the many years I've owned em,they have fadded some what on the back sides,BUT are still in good condition. I may even have to spend another 10-15 bucks and buy another pair before I croak!! Dave!!!

Did you have to modify in anyway? Do you know model number? Kuryakyn KY-6236 Iso Grip.? Just want to make sure I get the right set. Thanks

I had the ISOs on my Speedmaster and actually didn't like them. I loved the way they looked and the vibration they cushioned but didn't like how fat they were.

I still prefer the circumference of the stock set up.

And I do wear gloves as well. As I did on the Speedmaster.

Just my 2 cents.
